TIGI’s founders, serial entrepreneurs with backgrounds in high-tech, industry and energy, successfully built, sold and took public companies in electro-optics, communications, chemical industries and medical devices. The company’s management team and advisory board bring extensive background from the Fraunhofer institute, Solar City, collector manufacturers and energy project financing.
Zvika Klier, CEO: Prior to joining TIGI, Zvika served as CEO of 3DV Systems the developer of 3D video cameras, sold to Microsoft and serving as the basis for Xbox Kinect and MS HoloLens. Prior to that he was president of Arel Communications Ltd. (NASDAQ:ARLC). Mr. Klier is an MBA graduate of INSEAD, and holds a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the Technion, Israel.
Shimon Klier, Founder, R&D: Prior to founding TIGI, Mr. Klier was CEO of Argaman Industries, a large chemical textiles industrial plant in Israel (TASE:ARGM), a huge user of heat for industrial processes. He also served as founder and CEO of Arel Energy, the first developer of transparent insulation technologies. He was also CEO of Imarad Imaging, a nuclear imaging medical devices company (sold. Now a GM company). Shimon has a B.Sc in Mechanical Engineering.
Moshe Ben Yishai, VP Sales: prior to joining TIGI, Moshe was CEO of Oovoo LLC and a General Manager of SBU at Orbit Technology (NASDAQ:ORFR). He is a Robotics Engineer (FDU), and hold an MBA from NYU.
Hadar Ben Moshe, CFO: Prior to joining TIGI Hadar served as CFO of AVT (a Danaher company NYSE:DHR), CFO of Mul-T-Lock (an ASSA ABLOY company STO:ASSA-B), CFO of SanDisk in Israel (currently NASDAQ:WDC) and several Finance Director positions at Applied Materials (NASDAK:AMAT). Hadar holds a B.Sc in Industrial Engineering from Ben-Gurion University, and an MBA from the University of British Columbia in Canada.
Dr. Mike Adel, CTO: Prior to joining TIGI, Mike was CEO of Nubian Israel in the water treatment domain; He now serves in parallel as sr. director at KLA Tencor (NASDAQ:KLAC). Mr. Adel is an inventor in 41 US patents. He hold D.Sc. in physics from the Technion (Israel).
Dr. Werner J. Platzer: previous head of the division of Solar Thermal and Optics at Fraunhofer ISE. His PhD is in Solar Transmission and Heat Transport Mechanisms for Transparent Insulation.
David Arfin: is founder and CEO of First Energy Finance. David invented SolarCity’s SolarLease, the game-changing financing program that enabled over 200,000 homeowners, commercial, and government customers to adopt solar power and drove SCTY to a market capitalization of over $5 billion
Prof. Matthias Rommel: previous director of SPF, Switzerland, one of Europe’s leading solar thermal collector testing and certification organizations.
