TIGI Solar is pleased to announce a pivotal move in its global expansion strategy with the signing of a term sheet to acquire 90% of the shares of Solid Solar Energy Systems GmbH, with HQ in Austria. This strategic consolidation enables TIGI Solar to combine its renewable heat technology with Solid’s global experience and expertise in thermo-solar systems. This places TIGI Solar in a key position to expand into new markets and become a key player in the International Renewable Heat Energy sector.
Solid Solar Energy Systems GmbH – A Visionary from the Start
Solid, a pioneer with decades of experience in solar thermal systems, has successfully installed more than 200 systems worldwide. Solid’s leadership in solar thermal technologies, including collectors, long-term storages, and heat pumps, reflects their commitment to sustainability. Solid has played a central role in various international projects, contributing to solar heat in industrial processes, solar air conditioning systems, and integration into district heating systems.
Solid’s impactful legacy:
- Global Reach: With a footprint spanning over 200 reference systems across the globe, Solid has consistently delivered energy and cost savings to its customers. The company’s emphasis on technological innovation, combined with appropriate business models and top-quality planning and operation, has resulted in numerous success stories.
- System Integration Expertise: As a system integrator for large-scale solar thermal energy systems, Solid seamlessly translates customer needs into real-life success stories. The company remains a committed partner over decades, providing ongoing support to its clients.
A partnership of technology and expertise
Earlier this year, TIGI Solar combined forces with Solid to build and operate a large-scale system for generating and storing heat for a large industrial plant in California, USA. The system provides heat-as-a-service, with no up-front investment from the plant, minimising the use of natural gas, leading to increased efficiency and reduction in cost and emissions.
This further consolidation of both companies aligns with TIGI Solar’s vision to bolster its presence internationally, while merging their technological expertise with Solid’s extensive knowledge and project execution capacity in the renewable heat domain.
